BARN CONVERSION AND FORMATION OF AN INDOOR SWIMMING POOL, GLOUCESTERSHIRE

We were awarded the sensitive conversion of this historic Cotswold barn incorporating a full size swimming pool and leisure facilitates retaining much of the barn’s character but with a  contemporary finish.

The construction included underpinning to the existing barn walls and extensive groundworks for the formation of the underground waterproof concrete swimming pool shell. The pool surroundings were finished in a soft limestone tile with the existing Cotswold stone walls extensively repaired and repointed to match the existing façade. An aluminium bifold door system provides the opportunity to bring the outside in and clever up lighting design enhances the warm creamy tones of the Cotswolds.
