Rice Centre, Royal United Hospital

After twelve years of fund raising our clients were finally in a position to move forward with an exciting new project within the grounds of a local hospital to replace their current dilapidated portacabins with a brand new state of the art building and we were awarded the contract to design and build the facility to bring their vision to life.

The new centre included a welcoming reception, patient areas and clinic rooms on the ground floor with offices, meeting and lecture rooms and kitchen at first floor level. The construction phase was undertaken to a high standard, using suitable clinical finishes as well as design features such as a large glazed screen to the waiting area to allow natural light into the building and promote a sense of wellbeing to those within the facility. The completed new complex once opened has performed well for our clients and has become a major research institute within the medical profession and we are proud to have been the contractor chosen to undertake the project.
