CONVERSION AND FORMATION OF ARCHIVE BARN, WELHAM FARM, SOMERSET

We were commissioned by our clients to convert and conserve an existing traditional Somerset stone barn building to an extremely high standard to create facilities for a library and storage. The internal space was arranged to provide space for two book-storage rooms and a large, double-height reading room.

The external works included adjustments to the existing fenestration, including new windows, new glazed screen, replacement windows and new external shutters, as well as stone and pointing repairs to the primary stone walls and the renewal of rainwater goods.
