THE WALLED GARDEN, WESTONBIRT SCHOOL

We were thrilled to be the chosen contractor appointed to construct a new eight classroom teaching facility within the walled garden of this prestigious school. The classrooms needed to preserve the character and structure of the adjacent Grade II listed Camellia and Palm Houses whilst affording a modern flexible teaching space.

Following our design brief the new classrooms were formed as a series of single storey pitched roof buildings reminiscent of the historic greenhouses that once inhabited the space. Built using a light coloured material palette, with references made to details within the original greenhouses,  the structures fit perfectly within the walled garden even feeling as though they have always been in-situ.  Our skilled and dedicated workforce successfully completed the project, undertaking each stage of the build with meticulous attention to detail, professionalism and superb craftsmanship and the project is testament to our capability to deliver on all levels from project management to proficient and talented site team who together enabled a seamless build phase and created fantastic new facilities for the school.
