WRITHLINGTON SCHOOL FIRE DAMAGE

REPAIRS TO SCHOOL FIRE DAMAGED FACILITIES

Following a serious fire within the school’s main assembly hall which caused significant damage to the roof and many of the adjacent rooms we were awarded the contract to undertake the extensive remedial repairs to enable the school campus to be functional once again.  During the remedial works our client took the opportunity to change the use of the building and incorporate two new dance studios, a soft play area and café which would be open to the public.

Extensive repairs were undertaken to the roof structure including installation of new steel portal frames as the original ones had deflected with the heat of the fire.  Once the building was structurally sound, all fire damaged materials removed and a deep clean of smoke affected areas undertaken our skilled personnel turned their attention to all necessary internal repairs and upgrades to the electrical, ventilation and lighting systems as well as alterations to enable the new layout and change of use in order to conclude the project to our client’s wishes.  The contract was superbly executed and our site team accomplished a stunning new facility for the school, which has proven a very popular recreation amenity within the local community.
